The REAL Invisible Choir

I have no doubt that the experiences of Streiber and others are real. There is something called the Akashic Record, which is sort of a grand video tape of all time that malevolent spirits can make known to the unsuspecting. Listen to his vision of the future in "The Secret School":

"My sense of this was that it was smoke coming up form some kind of vast fire..." (p. 183)

He describes in this passage a parched earth, an earth burnt by huge fires. Now there are several scriptures that apply to this:

Isa 30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

and this one in Revelation is particularily pertinent:

Re 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

So what has happened? I believe that Streiber was a victim of "disinformation". Demonic entities have taken real events that WILL happen and played them in his mind. He is seeing way into the Tribulation and seeing the judgments that God will pour out on the earth in rebellion. Of course since it is out of any kind of context he can never make the correct assessment of what is going on. In fact all of his books attest to his doubt as to the motive, intent and nature of the visitor phenomena.

OF THE TAROT AND WHAT IS ALL THIS "SACRED FEMININE" SUPPOSEDLY INSIDE IT? -

Well it turns out that the idea of "Pentagrams" or "Pentacles" is just another mistake in translation made by someone name S. Mathers at the turn of the last century or so. He and Arthur Waite designed the Tarot most commonly used today (The Rider Waite Tarot). They mistranslated the word Eliphas Levi used for "coin" into "Pentacle" and it stuck. Had nothing to do with Solomon's star, sacred feminine and so on.

(This image of the "one of Pentacles" is from the Marseilles Tarot which is far older than the deck Brown referred to, like 200 years or so older! No star, no pentagram, no goddess...)

http://esoterism.com/reference/tarot.html

9. What is the history of the Tarot?No-one knows the 'true' origin of the Tarot. The most common myth is that it was brought to Europe by the Gypsies - but this myth come from the fact that very early occultists who used the Tarot fancied that it came from Egypt. They were as wrong about that as they were about the homeland of the Gypsies. In fact, the Tarot came to Europe about the same time as any other form of playing card, in the early/mid 1300's. It is most closely related to the 'Mamluk' deck of the Islamic world, which had suits cups, coins, swords, and polo-sticks. The Tarot was originally used for a game called 'tarocchi' in Italy, which is sort of a distant cousin to Bridge. Tarocchi is still played in some parts of the world, not usually with the same decks the 'fortune tellers' use. The game was quite popular for a time among the royalty in Italy, and sometimes a duke would commission an artist to create a really nice deck. Some of the earliest surviving Tarot decks come from this source. Plainer decks existed, but were not well made enough, or well thought-of enough, to survive the intervening 600 years. The Joker of 'standard' card decks is _not_ related to the Fool of Tarot. The Joker was invented as a wild card for Euchre in the 1800's, in a part of the world where the Tarot was virtually or totally unknown. The Tarot was first associated with the occult by Antoine Court de Gebelin, a relatively obscure Parisian mason who wrote about the deck in 1781. He invented a lot of the standard myths about the Tarot which were later popularized by others (it comes from ancient Egypt, the Major Arcana isrelated to the Kabalah, etc.). The first big popularizer of the deck was a contemporary of de Gebelin, called Etteilla, who published the first 'revised and corrected' Tarot deck for divination. The fad was caught up by Eliphas Levi, Oswald Wirth, and Papus, among others. From Papus, the Tarot caught on with some English mystics, such as S.L. Mathers (whose mistranslationof Levi brought us the suit of pentacles), A.E. Waite, and A. Crowley. The Tarot received a lot of attention from these folks, and they created a fairlylarge body of writing on the use of Tarot. For the most part they thought thatdivination was a 'lower' use of the cards, that ideally it should be used toput you in touch with eternal verities, usually in conjunction with whatevermagickal order they happened to be involved with. But of course, divinationwas the most popular use for the cards. Most of the Tarot decks on the market were created this century, most of those in the last 20 years.
Deconstructionism and "Deconstructing" the Da Vinci Code myth -

Elaine Pagels and the Gnostic Gospels set the tune and Brown and the writers of "Holy Blood Holy Grail" simply follow along in harmony. The basic idea is that its "all a conspiracy". History as we know it is BUNK and is formulated to promote political or social agendas by power groups, so we must always "read between the lines" to get at the truth behind it.

The problem here is that the "truth" is more often than not, colored by our particular agendas. There is therefore no absolute standard or base line from which to work from. Part of this is because our society today has this inherent need to "see both sides" or be sympathetic and understand "the other guy". I believe this is what has happened with "Gnostic Gospels" and "Da Vinci Code" and "Holy Blood, Holy Grail". When such ideas conflict with bona fide scholarship and history I think that this political correctness must take a back seat! We see plenty of revisionist history coming out now with this sort of slant on it in movies. But as I told one colleague a while back, I could never be a deconstructionist, the "light is all wrong".

Take for instance this idea that the sacred feminine is really what the Temple worship of the ancient Jews was all about. The Shekinah was the feminine and Jehovah the male. What a CROCK! Nothing could be farther from the truth! Time after time in the old testament the Israelites are told to have nothing to do with Ashtoreth (the main feminine goddess of the ancient world, also known as Astarte, Ishtar, Venus, etc.)

1Ki 11:33 Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.

So why mix things up? Simple, Brown and the Da Vinci code are simply following the pattern of Pagels (really they are following the pattern of Robert Graves in the "White Goddess"). The public LOVES a good conspiracy. But is it truth? Goddess worship certainly WAS a major part of ancient worship but Scripture says it certainly was NOT part of the Temple ritual and never could be.

Ps 86:10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

DECONSTRUCTING "THE CODE" A BIT FURTHER -

Leaving aside the general issue with art, the scriptures, Opus Dei and the sacred feminine, lets go right to the main front in this spiritual battle, the deity of Christ. If it is a fabrication of the church heirarchy what do we say to Christ's own words?

John 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

It is one thing to go and criticize the Roman Catholic church, or to insinuate that there is some sort of cabal to hide true scripture from us. Its another though when you find Christ himself alluding to his deity. Now you might say "well that was one of the re-written books". Well it goes back farther, to the Old Testament too. Its one thing to say that the Roman Church fixed the New Testament, but how'd they get the Jews to go along with fixing THEIR scriptures? Just remember that the Jews were hated by the Medieval Church, they were considered to be the killers of Christ.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Dan Brown, whatever he is, is certainly no Biblical scholar...

DAN BROWN, THE GNOSTIC GOSPELS, AND THE DA VINCI CODE -

One of the blockbuster books of the last couple years has been the "Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. Its basic premise is that the traditional church has had a conspiracy going on for the last 2000 years or so to hide certain "other gospels" from us. These are collectively known as the "Gnostic Gospels". Of course no serious scholarship really supports this spurious history (ie. that Constantine "fixed" the canon in 325 A. D. at Nicea). Canon (or the bible's books as we know them) was well in place as early as 125 A. D. as shown in some fragments of scripture. Besides, to pull off a monumental deception, destruction of the Gnostic Gospels (if they were in fact so widespread) would be impossible. The Gnostic Gospels are late fabrications that used the idea of "borrowed interest" from Scripture to give them some sort of validity but on the whole they read just like any other mythical text.

The other problems involve the actual artistic sense of what he says about Da Vinci's Madonna of the Rocks, just looking at the painting you see none of the things he implies (angel making a slit throat motion, switching Christ and John, etc.) His ideas on the Last Supper suffer the same problem, since Leonardo painted it has been acknowledged that the person sitting next to him was John and not a young woman.

We run into his ideas on translation also, mysterious Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland's name is supposed to mean "Rose Line" (referring to the line of the Magdalene) but in actuality it means "Little Stream" in Scotch. The idea the Pentagram is an ancient symbol for feminism is another fabrication (although not as recent). It came about as a mistranslation of the meaning of the face card the "Pentacles" in the French.

We finally come to the Magdalene herself. It has been a RECENT idea that she arrived in the south of France after the death of Christ. But even the occult scholar Arthur Waite, said that such a thing is not at all supported by the history.

(But all this is a plot you know... it really is! But NOT by the organized church:
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. One of the main messages of the "Da Vinci Code" is that Christ was in fact NOT divine, or God that this was shown in the Gnostic Gospels and covered up by the established church. The Apostle John confronts the same issues in his first epistle when he says that anyone who denies that Christ has "come in the flesh" (that is God has become man in the incarnation) he is an Antichrist. All this was written WAY before Constantine (in the first century at the latest). If you remember my theory on the alien hybrid experiments, when Satan cannot directly refute the Gospel, he will go to any lengths to diminish Christ. So whether he is a product of alien DNA tinkering, or a powerhungry church heirarchy, the effect is the same, POOF! no gospel.)

Dan Brown got the book, got the movie and all the moola to go with it, too bad the truth is left lying in the dust...

THE DOOR TO THE INFINITE -

I can spend long talking about UFOs, experiences and visions. Poo-pooing this incident and that incident. But it is a negative experience. I believe what the UFO experience really points out is a desire to connect with t he infinite, God if you will. We all desire at a very deep level to "touch the face of God". So I reveal in this blog the method that was shown to me.

I was reminded of it this morning as I read a devotional from a departed teacher, God is more interested in our friendship than doing "miracles" or even blessing us... it is a higher call... James 2:23

Moses besought God to "show him his way" or plans, the friends of God get in on the inner circle, the ways and paths of the Almighty as he makes his plans and moves forward in the world. Exodus 33:13

One can see this reflected in God seeing fit to come down and not only bless Abraham and Sarah with a child but fill him in on the plans he had for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Genesis 18:1.

There is another side to this friendship, it is "walking with God". This is apparently what God would do with Adam and Eve in the Garden, Genesis 3:8. They heard the voice of God as he walked in the garden and God called out to them (v. 9).

Now he had to ask where they were because they were hiding themselves in the bushes. They had discovered they were naked since eating the fruit. Sin had begun its work, the reason they could no longer walk with God is that sin had come between them, Amos 3:3.

If one can figure out how to deal with the sin issue, then all sorts of miraculous paths open up. There is the walk of Enoch and walk of Noah, there is the walk with a "Friend" as in Abraham. Then there is the visionary experience of Moses, in Exodus, where God actually shows him his glory.

Chariots of fire can accompany us on our journey, wheels of eyes can revolve over our heads, the whole goal of so many religous tradtions can be had in an instant.

This is the path of the thunderbolt and lightning as described in Tibetan Buddhism. But it is the real path.

So how DOES one get rid of sin? Well first of all we cannot heal ourselves. This is done by God himself in the person of Christ: Is 53:5. Once this is applied to the soul, the door to the infinite, the door to the presence of God is opened.

THE NOT SO "INTELLIGENT" DEBATE OVER INTELLIGENT DESIGN -

While the judge in Pennsylvania has said that the argument for teaching intelligent design in school curriculum is a thinly veiled sneak attack by creationists, I believe that the argument must not have been made with enough scientific rigour on our side. First off the argument has been framed as "creation" or "intelligent design" vs. "evolution". In their eagerness to make sure that no mention of religion, or even an indirect reference to a supreme being, is being made I believe the scientific heirarchy has overreached. The true arguments for intelligent design have not been made yet as far as I can tell in the media.

I refer you to an excellent book called "The God Experiment" - Russell Stannard. Written by a religion/science writer for the BBC, the author makes an excellent and well thought out argument for a creator. The complexity of the universe, the causation of the universe (why did it come about at all?), and the very laws of the universe (why are they THESE laws and not something else?) and the information nature of the the building blocks of the universe point out something I have not heard yet in the argument, the "anthropic" principle. That is that the very universe seems to show the fingerprints of a higher personality who designed it. Interestingly enough, none of this DIRECTLY contradicts evolution, we are talking about origins here, not the evolution of species.

So that's why the argument is not being made "intelligently"...

DAGON, SAUROIDS AND LOVECRAFT -

H. P. Lovecraft was arguably one of the most original horror writers of the early 20th century. All of his tales wove a mythos, a world that was based on forgotten realms and races that exist somewhere on the periphery of our world. In one of his most powerful stories, "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", he tells of a race of aquatic beings that lived in the deep ocean. Their desire was to intermingle and breed with the surface dwellers, producing a "man-fish" or amphibious horror of some sort.

In the ancient near east Dagon was known as the half-fish, half-man god. The priests of Babylon wore hats that resembled the heads of fish and eventually became what we know as the "bishop's mitre" or the hat that you see cardinals, popes and bishops wear in the Roman church today.

Well Dagon meets his match and more in the book of Samuel:

1Sa 5:3-7 And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him. Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon‘s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day. And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god

(Lovecraft refers to this God of Israel as the "bland god of the baptists" in "The Strange High House in the Mist". Obviously he never read this portion of the Bible!) Dagon in the first humiliation is forced to bow before the Ark thus acknowledging the majesty of Jehovah. Since the Philistines missed the picture, Dagon is humiliated completely and has his head and hands cut off, symbolic of the death of an enemy, before the Ark of Jehovah. Not very bland, this God of Israel!

We turn then to the idea of the serpent or sauroids that may dwell in some other dimension very near earth or beneath our feet today. Could this be what Lovecraft was referring to but in an aquatic sense? A much older race of "Dagonites"? The linking of the serpent with Satan has been there from the start. Now we know Dagon's ancestry too (and his very early "end"). But does this reveal anything to us about the Underwater Bases and the persistence of the "Dagon" mythos? I think back to the recent sci-fi series that tried to make headway on NBC, "Surface"... the creatures there were very "Dagonlike"...

UNDERWATER BASES GATEWAYS TO THE "ABYSS" OF THE BIBLE?

The abyss is one of the first mentioned places in the bible. It is over the "abyss" of chaos that the Spirit hovers in the first verses of Genesis.

It is also the place that the legion of spirits begged Christ not to send them in Luke 8.

It is referred to as the "deep" in Genesis, the Hebrew word "tehome" means a mass of surging, raging waters.

It appears again in the book of Revelation in chapter 9 as the "bottomless pit" or cistern or well. Out of this abyss there appears winged horrors that seem to be like locusts except they attack men and not plants. They have the stings of scorpions but do not kill, only inflict pain. They also have faces of men. Such hybrid creatures are seen on wall paintings from ancient Babylonia.

Could the underwater bases be gateways to the Abyss? Are scouts being sent out in the form of flying craft?

The underwater craft and bases are as bizarre in their physics as the surface UFO's. It is rumored that certain "vortexes" (gateways) exist in a pattern around the world and that paranormal phenomena occur in and around these certain areas. One of the areas may well be the door to the bottomless pit mentioned in Revelation 9:

1 ¶ And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

The fifth angel sounds his trumpet and a "star" falls from heaven. Stars are almost ALWAYS referring to angelic entities. I believe in this case it is Satan himself that is falling from heaven and he has the key to this demonic prison called the "bottomless pit". As it is opened, the smoke of a "great furnace" arises. This word has been used before to describe the eyes of the glorified Christ in Revelation 1. It is the terminology of the smelter's furnace. I can think back to watching a gigantic kiln being fired at our school, after a day or two, the fire was SO hot and SO bright you could not look at it without welder's goggles.

Where is the door to this "abyss"? One could speculate, but the Triangle (or an as yet undiscovered vortex) could well be the door. The space beneath the Dome of the Rock is referred to as "The Well of Souls". Legend has it that in the Day of Judgment, the Rock of the Dome will be met by the Kaaba stone of Mecca.

I believe that NO hard evidence will be found for these things. They continually be just "over the horizon" to tantalize, tempt, and confuse.

COMMUNION - (but with WHAT?)

Whitley Streiber correctly assesses the alien's intent as "communion". They seek a deep connection and presence in human lives. It may well answer why there has been no "public" landing on the White House lawn to announce their presence on earth. They would rather seduce the souls of mankind one at a time. After all this IS their agenda when we read of them referring to us as "containers" from Bob Lazar.

Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

It is noteworthy that Jesus says that when such spirits leave a man, they wander in dry places "seeking rest". Then they decide to move back in with seven others more wicked than themselves. The "communion" is progressive. It increases the involvement of the victim exponentially with each occurence so that there is no "escape" from the scenario. At least none that MAN can provide:

Luke 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

You need one STRONGER than the ones attacking, this is Jesus!

FOCUS ON THE FAMILY ON UFO'S -

http://xmark.com/focus/Pages/ufo.html
Yep, even the esteemed Dr. Dobson's group has weighed in on this phenomena. Clifford Wilson has also written another book that is of interest, "Crash Goes the Chariots". In it he pretty much demolishes Von Daniken's ancient astronaut theory.

Bottomline for you: These groups, the phenomena, and entities all associated with the UFO's all promise a wonderful communion with the Space Brothers but in the end never deliver. It is reminiscent of Christ's statement:

Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

You want to be able to judge these phenomena. I think it is important that we do. Some believers (in UFOS) have accused me of not having any "love" when I characterize these things as "Satanic" in origin. How could one ever NOT judge entities that abuse, abduct and generally misbehave? Any argument to the otherwise is just silly. It is rather like going to pick wild mushrooms with a guide and then ignoring the warning he told you about "don't eat that one..."

ON ENOCH AND OTHER DISAPPEARANCES -

There are a number of disappearances (you could not call them abductions) that go on in the bible that prefigure the "rapture" of the saints. In some ways they are going to remind you of the classic abduction experiences but in others they are radically different.

First off the saints who get "translated", that is taken up to heaven in some way, usually are not dead except for one remarkable instance at the resurrection of Christ.

Next they ALL stay in heaven (sort of), Elijah makes an appearance at the Mount of Transfiguration and very possibly again at the end of days in Revelation 11.

Here's the list I have compiled:

Enoch:
Ge 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Elijah:
2Ki 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

The Saints at Christ's Crucifixion:
Matthew 27:
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

(they were taken up at the same time as Christ at the Ascension)

The two witnesses of Revelation 11:
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Then there is the classic piece on the Rapture:
1Thess 4:
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

If one is only making a superficial reading of the "taking up of the saints" they might easily say "its just an abduction by aliens" but when you read the context it is entirely different. This is NOT to say that the rapture, or sudden disappearance of all the Christians, won't be BLAMED on the visitors, nothing could be a better set up from the alien/demonic side.

Here's the context:
Enoch simply "walked with God" and was no more because God "took him". He didn't die because in Hebrews 11:5 it says he didn't see death.

Elijah was taken up IN the whirlwind to heaven, NOT the chariots of fire (that was only his escort).

The saints at Christs time got up and walked around Jerusalem scaring the Holy Living Daylights out of the population (and causing many to BELIEVE) before they were taken up. Their resurrection accompanied the earthquake and sun darkening at Christ's crucirfixion (talk about special effects).

The coming "translations"; the rapture of the saints is to comfort those who have lost loved ones in Christ. It also explains how the Lord can return with "10,000 of his saints" according to Enoch in Jude 14 (you gotta go up before you can come down!)

The mysterious two (who obviously WEREN'T Marshall Applewhite and friend) are most likely Elijah and Enoch, the only two who DIDN'T experience death in the bible. For we all must go through that vale.

*****
BOTTOMLINE: the taking up or "abductions" of the Bible are nothing at all like those of Travis Walton or Betty Hill. Context is everything...

JEHOVAH AND HIS ANGELS VS. THE ALIENS -

OK, I have to admit I am just a bit peeved. Watched "Invasion" last night, you probably know the series, funny alien lights drop in the water then start to inhabit people (or change their DNA). All of this happens after a hurricane. Well they got "personal" last night. The naive deputy, Lewis, is "praying" about stuff, and telling the sherrif he is responsible to "someone else", the sherrif says "who?" and the deput says "GOD!" Of course later the sherrif lures deputy dopey out to the lagoon where the tentacled/jellyfish/stingray/glowing alien gets him as he leans into the water to see what it is. As Lewis leans over, his cross around his neck dips into the water, this was a clear symbol that not even Christ could save poor Lewis from the aliens.

The next morning Lewis shows up naked, under a towel at the sherrif's house and says "It's a MIRACLE sir!" and spreads his arms out in one of those "hallelujah! I just got saved" poses. So what's the beef Marty?

Well first of all I resent them going out of their way to single out Christianity as being impotent and a bit dopey. I mean why wasn't a Star of David hung over the water, or maybe a Buddhist symbol? Atheists have NO symbol so that's out of the question, and of course Christians have no organized protest groups like the rest of these folks have, I mean where is our "Council on Christian Relations" when you need them?

There's a more sinister thing going on here, its a bit of posturing. Whitley Streiber alludes to it when he calls "Jehovah and his angels the nazis of the skies". If my contention that the whole phenomena of UFO's and aliens is in fact a "spiritual" thing, then the show takes on some other dimensions. It may be nothing else than the network/media bias to portray Christians (in particular) as being corrupt and evil OR dopey and naive and impotent when faced with "other powers". Fact is Streiber is closer to the truth, he's just got the players reversed. The aliens, far from being those kind greys in Close Encounters, are much more the "nazis", kidnapping hapless humans and performing medical/sexual experiments on them.

There is the story of the Gadarene demoniac that puts it all in the right perspective. It's in Luke 8:

22 ¶ Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

Some things to note here;

1. Jesus didn't need to know the name of the demon before he had power over it. The demon was shaking in fear of being sent to the abyss the minute he SAW Christ. So we have to understand who the real power is in any human/demon/alien encounter, answer is NONE of the three, but Christ is the power.
2. There was a lot of natural disasters blowing up BEFORE the encounter. It was as if the demons knew "he" was coming so they sent a storm. But Christ had power over the winds. When the "special effects of life" start to make big waves, its time to call Christ in.
3. The demon KNEW Christ. That is he knew who he really was. This is similar to the situation in the passage in Acts where the Seven Sons of Sceva attempt to cast out a demon in the name of "Christ who Paul names". The demon said "Christ I know and Paul I know but who are you?" and beat them up and threw them out in the street naked. Using the cross like an amulet when you really aren't a Christian at all will have the same effect. But of course Christ WAS Christ and he therefore had power of these things.

The putting down of religion is really nothing more than using "shock value" to up the interest in the show. I find it interesting that the show is being moved now and "Alias" is taking its place. What happened? Is it tanking? Threshold (the other alien series) and Suface (the other, other alien series) have seemed to not lived up to expectations (I remember the last episode I saw of Threshold, they TOO went after Christians as being dopey and easily deceived).

HEAVEN'S GATE AND REVELATION 11-(or how wrong we get it sometimes)

Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Lu Nettles, "Bo" and "Peep" (or Do and Ti) are the mysterious "Two" that appeared in the mid 70's to tell us all of the coming of a spaceship to take us up to the next level. Marshall was raised a Presbyterian and most likely was influenced by his background. They believe that Christians will go THROUGH the tribulation and THEN be "raptured" (what the Two thought was the UFO or spaceship coming to get the faithful).

There is a religious component to this whole thing in that Applewhite and Nettles believed they were the two witnesses from Revelation 11. Since Nettles died and then some years later in 1997 Marshall Applewhite committed suicide with a number of his followers they CAN'T be the two from Revelation:

Revelation 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

So as you can see, if you follow things literally and linearly, the two must first be killed and then lie in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 days for the world to see. THEN be raised up and called up to heaven (a sort of "post" rapture). This is followed by an earthquake destroying 1/10 of Jerusalem and 7000 men.
None of this of course happened with the Heaven's Gate crowd so we can pretty much dispense with the idea that they were in fact the "Two". I left out the part where they spit fire out of their mouths to destroy those who would kill them.

I believe all this is a result of a flawed timeline and thus producing a flawed theology. David Koresh of the Branch Davidians was guilty of the same mistakes in thinking. For someone coming out of the Adventist tradition, the world had already entered the End Times in the 1800's according to the prophetess Ellen White. So he felt free to identify himself (blasphemously I might add) with the "Branch" of Jesse and thus usher in the final conflict.

One can only root themselves in Scripture rightly "divided" or you get into a world of weirdness...

FOLLOWING THAT STAR AGAIN -

In the book Communion Whitley Strieber makes mention of the idea of "transformation" (also the title of his next book about the visitors). The idea was that the way to Christ is lit by the "Star of Bethlehem" or in Babylonian ISHTAR. Lots of mention is made about the triple goddess (shades of Robert Graves who doesn't even get a byline in this novel/autobiography). He also mentions Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego as having "followed the path of transformation". As if these "Hebrew children" honestly were following the path of Ishtar of the Babylonians of whom they were captives. Just doesn't make much sense does it?

As in ALL hermetic or gnostic tradtions, from which much of modern occultism draws its roots, this transformation is mysterious and in the case of the visitors to Streiber downright malevolent and dark. This idea is surfacing in a number of trends such as the Da Vinci Code. But contrast the sexual assaults and bodily and mental harm done by the aliens, which Strieber hopes will lead to some kind of "transformation" or evolution, with that which happens to simplest soul who comes to Christ for forgiveness:

2Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

You see the misunderstanding is that these other traditions believe the transformation is mystical, something not to be understood by the mind. But TRUE Christianity is involved with the moral soul, and we are in deep need of forgiveness, security and hope beyond the grave.

Once this "door" is opened, the glories of Heaven and God break in the waiting soul...

MORE ON "CONTAINERS"-

In the book "Alien Contact", Bob Lazar is quoted as saying that there was an extremely thick and highly classified document about religion and UFO's. He asks "why are there ANY classified documents about religion?" In the document the aliens refer to us as "containers", he thinks this is likely "containers for souls" and that all religion is designed to help take care of the "containers".

He goes on to say that the aliens had engineered Jesus and two other spiritual leaders, they were plants by the aliens to be used at a later time. I have already talked about what I think was and still is the agenda of the aliens, that is to destroy the gospel or its effectiveness by an attack on the nature of Christ. This is what is meant by John's statement in his epistle:

1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confessed not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Why is the nature of Christ so important? First off if he is not God then he can in no way forgive sins. Neither can he be the "spotless lamb" or pure one that is necessary for the sacrifice for us (if he was a sinner, even in the very least way, then he too would need someone to die for him, "For the wages of sin is death..." Rom 6:23). But in like manner he would need to be completely human also to die in our stead. Not much good if you are just another "dying God" for poor humankind. This is at the heart of Gospel and it IS interesting that this is right where the attack of the aliens goes.

But what of these "containers"? This is a term of grave significance because it points to the idea of possession!

Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Christ seems to intimate that the phenomena of possession will become more prevalent near the end of days.

Now there is a way where you can stop, reverse and even prevent any such possession (or misuse of YOUR container.)

Fill it with something else (or SOMEONE else)...

1Jo 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

This is speaking of the Holy Spirit who comes to dwell within you the very minute you accept Christ. Without getting to complicated, or making too much out of metaphors this is VERY simple. What you need to do is simply "believe" that Christ died in your place. This is what is meant by "receiving Christ". You ask him to be your savior and die in your place:

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

You can do this right now by simply praying something like this:

"Dear Jesus, I accept you as my Savior and ask you to come in my life and be my Lord. Thank you for the gift of eternal life."

Once that has happened, you won't have any problem with aliens, possession or "soul trespassing". Sort of kicks those little grey squatters right out!

The Watchers -

Da 4:13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;

Da 4:23 And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;

In these verses we see a reference to a class of angel called in other literature as the "grigoire" or the holy watchers. Where it gets strange is apparently some of the watchers ended up not being so holy when it came to the daughters of men. We see this in Genesis 6. But where it connects to the UFO genre is in the incident with Betty Andreasson, she has been communicated a mission by the "Watchers" or the caretakers of the planet. I think this no mistake by the entities but rather a knowing "wink" to those who are in the know as to their actual doings.

In some occult literature, each planet and place is assigned an "angel" (or demon if the angel fell). So we get the idea of "territorial spirits" or "spiritual strongholds" that we must somehow tear down or do battle with. The table of nations in Genesis extends to the number 70, it is this 70 that were "Watched" over by angelic governors. But after the Fall (AND the Fall in heaven) many of these watchers have gone over to the "Dark Side" or Satan. Yet some are still in charge of governments, states and countries. Well meaning saints have gone out to do battle against territorial spirits (or aliens if you will). But they fail to see the reality of the victory that is already won. What has happened is that the entities behind the conspiracy want to make God and them as some sort of equal combatant. Yet that is not the way it is in Scripture, instead we see demons in the presence of Christ quail and tremble.

Luke 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

Luke 8:29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

One would do well to "test the spirits" or these watchers that Betty met. If we are up against territorial spirits that are out to destroy the gospel of stop it from going forth then we must remember that Christ trumps all, the blood of the cross trumps all. Why go battling head to head when the Blood of Christ is the ultimate weapon, in fact the victory has already been won?

THE MILLENIUM AND THE GOLDEN CITY -

In Whitley Strieber's second book, Transformation, he mentions a vision of a "Golden City". This city is a golden hope, a future "heaven" of sorts. He understands that this is somehow connected with the Visitors. This is some kind of racial memory I think, or perhaps simply borrowing of the biblical "New Jerusalem". If one reads the passage in Revelation 21 it certainly SOUNDS like some kind of gigantic mothership landing on the earth. Although such a thing is almost impossible to conceive.

If one maintains my theory that the aliens are nothing more than demons or fallen angels then it fits that their version of the "golden city" is a perversion or twisting of the original message. It is a bait or ploy to bring in Whitley and others.

This entails the idea of the "Millenium", that ever popular 1000 year timespan of peace on the earth. This is also confused in its timeline portrayal in popular culture, you can think back to the TV series Millenium where it opens with the quote about "Satan being unleashed after a 1000 years..." and in the "End of Days" where Satan is unleashed to find an earthly mate and usher in a 1000 years of darkness. Then there is the recent release "Hellboy" where a demon becomes a good guy but his fist of rock is able to unlock the Abyss and usher in guess what? another 1000 year reign! (For REAL horror fans we can only look back to Hitler's 1000 year Reich.)

You confused by this timeline?
Well I will try and give the biblical chronology for you. Unlike many intepreters for Revelation I choose NOT to say its "all symbolic" rather it follows an exact, linear chronology with "parentheses" or parenthetical chapters giving details. So to understand the chronology lets take a trip through the events of the last chapters of Revelation:

Revelation 19 - we see the RETURN of Christ with his saints to end the war of Armageddon and establish his reign on earth.

Revelation 20 - Satan is imprisoned in the Abyss for a thousand years (the much misunderstood millenium). Notice, unlike the TV show he is on the loose now and NOT in prison, also unlike the movie "End of Days" he is free. But he will be imprisoned for 1000 years during the reign of Christ on the earth. In the 7th verse, he is set loose to deceive the nations one last time. There is a final battle for Jerusalem and fight against Christ who is ruling there. Of course he LOSES and is put in the lake of fire (finally!) in verse 10. This is now at the end of the Millenium, what we see next is the "Great White Throne Judgment". The dead great and small must stand before God. This is the judgment of the wicked dead, The sea will also give up its dead. The evil dead have waited 1000 years for judgment. When this is finished we jump into Revelation 21.

Revelation 21- what we see is the molecular destruction of the current time-space continuum (sounds impressive, doesn't it?) Peter describes it this way:

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

THEN the Golden City, the New Jerusalem will come down to earth. This is a massive thing and many bible teachers have differing opinions on its actual shape, cube, pyramid and I have even heard sphere. But whatever it is it has a width, breadth and height of 1500 miles.
So the timeline is as follows:

Armageddon-1000 year reign of Christ with the Devil chained beneath the earth-New Heavens, New Earth and New Jerusalem on the New Earth-

Elves, Christmas, Grey Aliens...
Here's the link:
http://www.ccg.org/english/s/p235.html

and here is a short excerpt:

"The Shetlanders name these holidays the Yules. Seven days before Christmas, the elves called Trows by the Shetlanders are let free from their homes in the earth and dwell above ground if it pleases them. This is the probable origin of the elf symbolism of and with Santa Claus. It seems to relate back to the concept of the misrule of the seven days of the Saturnalia leading up to 25 December.

The most important of the rituals in Yule was the saining, which had to be properly carried out to deal with the grey folk as the elves were called.

The modern myths emanating from the USA regarding alien greys, is none other than the revamping of the elves at Yule.

On the last day of the holidays, the twenty-fourth day after Christmas, called up-helly-a, or Uphalliday in Shetland, the doors were all opened and a great deal of pantomimic chasing went on to rid the area of the mischievous elves. People piously read the Bible and displayed iron ostentatiously "for it is well known that elves cannot abide the sight of iron." The infants were carefully guarded and sained by learned wise women. No doubt, we have the sign of the evil eye involved here as an ancient custom (cf. also the paper The Cross: Its Origin and Significance (No. 39))."

I mean folks, we got it ALL with this one, Christmas, alien breeding experiments (guard the baby) and those irrepressible GREYS! Streiber only begins to allude to this as a possibility, that the aliens of today are nothing more than the fairies, elves and demons of history. Of course we don't want to ascribe any motive to these entities (being politically correct like we are) but in case after case there is NO evidence of BENEFICIAL contact with these creatures.

It's good to remember that Santa started out as an elf, but it might be hard to think of the North Pole, elves and Roswell all in the same thought...
Of Saucers and visions -

There is a remarkable document found at this link:
Ezekiel's Vision

Lev 26:33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
34 Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.

Christ began his ministry at the end of a Jubilee year, and God graciously waited till the next Jubilee was finished for the sake of the righteous to destroy the nation of Israel (Israel was not completely taken by the Romans till all the harvests were finished in 77 A.D.)

The vision of Ezekiel (no matter how many times one hears that it is about UFO's) is primarily Ezekiel getting a visual story told to him of the Shekinah Glory leaving the temple and even leaving the city of Jerusalem. In them the prophet sees God lifting up and leaving the nation of Israel because of their sins:

Eze 10:18 Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
Eze 10:19 And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
Eze 11:22 Then did the cherubims lift up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
Eze 11:23 And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.

Now this same glory will return. When it does its coming will be noted world wide:

Mt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

One might make the argument that what he saw was a spacecraft so it will help to look at exactly what it was he saw and try to understand the meaning of it. There is a convincing argument to be made that what he saw was really the Heavenly Ark (shades of Indiana Jones!). When Moses devised the pattern for the Ark (eventually residing in the Temple) he was really working according to what he saw in the heavenlies (this is God speaking):

Ex 25:9 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

Then there is the design of the Ark itself, it mimics the vision of Ezekiel:

Ex 25:18 And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
Ex 25:19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
Ex 25:20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
Ex 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

These winged creatures are part of the heirarchy of angels known as Cherubim. In other Middle Eastern literature they become fabulous winged lions and bulls with human heads such as the one shown in this image gallery:

http://home.earthlink.net/~ironmen/images.htm

I believe that these winged creatures of Babylonian myth are not a fantasy at all but rather a corruption of the actual beings. Somehow this idea of fabulous creatures in the heavens persists in the genetic makeup of man. But the bible doesn't stop with Ezekiel in this vision of the heavenly Tabernacle, the Apostle John has almost an identical vision in the last book of the Bible, the Revelation:

Rev4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 ¶ And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

These beasts are the Cherubim. Their primary mission is to proclaim and enforce the idea of the holiness of God. It is the Cherubim that drive Adam and Eve from the Garden. It is their presence in Ezekiel's vision that points to the religious corruption in the house of Israel at that time. Because they have strayed so far away from God, God in his holiness cannot remain in the nation. The Cherubim appear, they uphold the heavenly throne and take it away from out of the midst of Israel.

No, I don't think that the vision of Ezekiel is in any way related to UFO's but it will be constantly thought of that way and perverted to mean that. There is a conspiracy, there is a hiding of the truth, but its nothing human or alien in origin:

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Were the Wise Men lead by a UFO?

Ok, it sound really weird, like REALLY weird. But after all you have this unique situation where the wise men see a star in the East and follow it West. Nobody else sees it it seems. Cranky old Herod didn't have a clue and nobody else gets this messenger sent to them (the shepherds and Joseph get angels). Then there is this thing of the star shining over where the young child was (he wasn't in one of those cute mangers but could have been almost 2 years old and living in Nazareth).

Mt 2:9 ¶ When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

So without any further investigation, one conclusion would be that this was some sort of “Unidentified Flying Object”. But fortunately we have scripture to explain scripture. What we have to do is see what other references of phenomena like this there are. I will begin with the end of the story, or what will happen in the “Last Days”:

Mt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Some sort of miracle is at work here, a wonder in the heavens will be seen and it is very much connected to the “Son of Man” or Christ. Notice too how the “sign” precedes the coming of Christ in glory. A sign also preceded his coming the first time and this is what the wise men from the East saw.
So what was it? More hints pop up as you look through scripture. There is this fiery pillar that led the Israelites through the wilderness. It is known as the “Shekinah Glory”:

Ex 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

We seem to be getting closer to some sort of idea what this was. There is also a curious reference to the Glory Chariot, or “Merkabah” in Ezekiel one. This thing is apparently mobile also and moves out of the temple which the Jews have polluted with the worship of idols and gone east, through the Eastern gate. Christ will return to reign through this gate and Ezekiel describes it as an approaching “glory”. It is very descriptive in terms of “light”:

Ez 44:1 Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east:
2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.

The Shekinah Glory is a very good candidate for the identity of the “Bethlehem Star”. We can chase this farther if we want to and examine whether the Ezekiel vision was really about Flying Saucers or something else. It is almost a cliché to say that what Ezekiel saw was a flying saucer. But that is a subject for another post.
SIGNS AND WONDERS -
"Signs, signs everywhere are a signs..." One would think that signs and wonders are the validating thing about a phenomena. If a miracle happens then it MUST be something from God. We get this pablum passed our way via TV with the popularity of angels and the current cultural folklore that angels are only here to help us. But such is not the case in scripture about either the "signs" that we may see or the "starry messengers". Notice Christ's own words :

Mt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.Mr 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

We can see a couple of things here, first off they will be showing "great" signs and wonders. These are some very deceptive wonders also, good enough to fool even the "very elect". The next thing to notice is that false Christs and false prophets SHALL rise. The coming of false prophets will accompany the soon appearance of Christ for the world according to Matthew 24. I have found a curious thing about miracles, supernatural events and so on in scripture, they tend to increase in frequency with a soon coming action by God. Miracles and supernatural events accompany the birth an advent of Christ, they also follow the Exodus from Egypt. Would it be any wonder that the "Enemy of Our Souls" wouldn't do the same thing with a soon coming act of God?

Notice the "chain of events" the apostle Paul outlines in 2 Thessalonians. The Thessalonians were apparently getting confused because some teachers were coming along and telling them that the "Day of the Lord" had already happened:

2Thess 2:3 ¶ Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

First there must be a "falling away" and the Antichrist, or the man of sin, must be revealed. This falling away may be either a worldwide apostasy OR the catching away of the saints (what is known in fundamentalist circles as "The Rapture" or great disappearance, 1Thess 4:16-17). Then he would show himself to be "God" by sitting as God in the Temple. Well there is NO Temple as yet in Jerusalem so this scenario has not come to pass and we are NOT "in the Tribulation". But then there is the reference to the working of Satan with "all power and signs and lying wonders". These signs and wonders are meant to deceive and cause men to believe a lie.

We haven't seen this level of deception in the UFO phenomena at this point in the timeline though. But I believe we HAVE seen the beginnings. There is a governor in the algorithm that prohibits Satan from having full sway over the earth, in verse 6 "him that withholdeth" is still holding back the power of Satan from being shown with all its force. I believe this may refer to the Holy Spirit. When the Christians are "taken out of this world" via the Rapture, then the Holy Spirit will also be removed. Till then Satan will claim his small numbers of cultists, true believers and Heaven's Gate followers. He is still very much active but on a short leash. The typical idea that Christ and the Devil are somehow "equal foes" was part of the problem with the movie "The Exorcist", we pit God and Satan against each other as enemies in some kind of cosmic war. This is only PARTLY true. In Job 2 we see that Satan must ask permission of God to test Job. In many of these cults we find a very defensive lot who believe, sincerely believe, that what they are doing is the "work of God" or that Christ himself directed their work:

2Cor 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Again the warning, TRUST NO ONE...

So you could ask "Just HOW do I know the truth then in this complicated tangle of conspiracy, false miracles and supernatural broo-ha-ha?" God is not remiss in giving us a way out!

Deut 13:1 ¶ If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

If the prophet or signs and wonders CONTRADICT scripture, then you can bet your bottom dollar you are dealing with an "angel of light" whose mission is to deceive you. I can only think of the individual I contacted who sincerely thought he was being visited by the prophet Ezekiel, problem was that the prophet was giving him "another gospel", ie. you are truly "divine" and only need to have it revealed within you. I reminded this deluded soul that Satan made the exact same promise in Genesis 3 (and we know where that all lead).

Sitchin and the meaning of Genesis 6 -
http://www.sitchiniswrong.com/sitchinerrors.htm#nephilim

I ran across this link and thought it was one of the most marvelous things. Apparently Zechariah Sitchin's thesis that the Nephilim and Sons of God in Genesis 6 are aliens is completely bogus. His premise works something like this: the word Nephilim means "fallen ones", so one could make the argument that they had to "fall" from somewhere. His conclusion is that they fell from outer space. What Michael Heiser shows is that he has no idea what he is talking about in Hebrew or Aramaic (the ACTUAL language of the passage). The word "fallen one" refers to "spiritually fallen" NOT a physical fall at all. It is like when I say my "face has fallen" when I am sad you can take that out of context and assume it means literally my face has "fallen off". Sort of like OOOPS! I dropped it! But the context simply means I look sad. Sitchin makes this same error.

We come to the TRUE identity of the Nephilim, and the Sons of God. Sitchin makes an error (as do many well meaning scholars) in focusing on the word Nephilim (or the giants that were born before the flood. The thrust of the passage really points more to who the "Sons of God" were though. The Nephilim (whatever they were) were only the offspring of the union of Sons of God and the daughters of men.

There are TWO prevailing views; the Sons of God were angels (bad ones) OR they were the descendants of Seth, the godly line with the "daughters of men" being of the line of Cain. You can argue either side but if you fall on the side that this was the intermarriage of angelic beings and earth women you must say that the term "Sons of God" points to demons (and WHO would say that a demon is a "son of God"? many thanks to J. Vernon McGee for pointing this out). Which leaves us with only the godly line of Seth marrying those ungodly women from Cain's line, and if THIS is so then Sitchin's argument is completely wrong! We've eliminated not just aliens but any supernatural type of cohabitation entirely. But if the angel/demon idea is true then that begins to somewhat clarify some other passages in the New Testament:

Jude 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

When we look at these passages its important to try and get a handle on the context, what is it actually talking about in the passage before and after. Remember my face "falling" off? The angels that left their first estate passage comes right in the middle of talking about heretics and those that preach false doctrine but then the passage goes on to talk about those speaking foolishly to dignities in the angelic world. So the general sense is that this is talking about false teachers and teachings, there is also a sexual component in there when it talks about Sodom and Gomorrah:

Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8 ¶ Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Its a long quote but I want to show it just to get the idea across. When seen in context, whatever the nature of the angels (if they are the Sons of God in Genesis 6) their sin had to do with false teaching, the sins of Sodom, and despising angelic/demon dignities. We get into this and this begins to sound more like the New Age! We can say one thing for sure, that if the angels were into the "Sin of Sodom" then making alien hybrid babies from earth women was NOT going to happen!

The passage in 2 Peter seems to point to the same conclusions, it is repeated almost verbatim from Jude (who quotes and is based on the Book of Enoch - not the occult volume by the way).

2Peter 2:1 ¶ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 ¶ And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Now whether you fall on the angelic being or godly line side, there is only one thing that you must remember; the problems with these beings these "sons of god" is that somewhere in there false doctrine comes into play as the thrust of the passages. I remember Winston Churchill's statement about the Communist Bloc (I believe) that it was a "riddle, wrapped in an enigma". ALL of this discussion on UFO's, government conspiracies, ancient astronauts, etc. may be nothing more than an elaborate "psyops" on the human race perpetrated by the Father of Lies, for that is his very nature; John 8:44. Remember what I posted before! The goal of the entities is to distort, deceive and eventually murder! Trust no one...

OK, we know all these creepy little aliens are interested in sex but what's with this kick on religion?

Bob Lazar (Area 51), the maybe is / maybe ain't telling the truth guy, says that there are numerous files with blacked out sections in government hands where the aliens are very interested in religion. One would wonder just WHY an advanced interstellar race would be interested in OUR primitive notions about God. He also mentions that they refer to us as some kind of "containers". Shades of Stargate and the Gou'ald! But there is perhaps a much more sinister scenario going on here. Strieber and others have remarked how the UFO/visitor phenomena is not very different from what our ancestors referred to as angels, demons and fairies. In fact in some of the writings of John Dee he refers to angelic visitations that sound much more like what would in this day and age be called alien visitations.

The notable horror fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft made the assertion in his mythos that all the phenomena we called "demons" or "angels" were in fact really aliens. Now this is convenient for the aliens. You can come down to earth, and "act like the devil" and be given a free pass because you are really an "alien". This is denial going on at a deep level. In fact I believe that just the opposite of Lovecraft's hypothesis is the truth, these "aliens" are in fact demonic. I would find agreement with much of what John Keel has written and Jaques Vallee. They both posit that the UFO phenomena is actually a "different dimension" interacting with ours. But what a dimension! To visit it is to visit the Spirit realm.

Once we have a fix on the true identity of our visitors then the reason behind their agenda and interest in religion becomes powerfully clear:

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Satan is referred to as the "prince of the power of the air", literally he is the chief ruler of happenings and going ons in the lower atmospheric regions (our air canopy). He is the one that pulls the strings on the "children of disobedience". This word is interesting, disobedience, the true import doesn't come out till you look at the Greek word "apeitheia". Sounds very similar to "apathy" does it not? But it holds the connotation of obstinancy and unbelief in the Greek. All of these goings on in the "air" are with one aim, to continue the idea of unbelief and bolster ones "obstinancy" to the gospel of Christ. Perhaps this is why some of the alien encounters have a lot of "high comedy" going on in them. Aliens are wearing cardboard suits, making paper waffles and all other sorts of nonsense. They dare not tip their hand and reveal their true nature. But if they can make ALL strange phenomena seem to be lunacy then it is much easier to deny the supernatural events of the bible.

I would be remiss if I didn't address this idea of "containers". I believe this is simply codespeak for "possession" out and and out. The famed psychic, Ruth Montgomery referred to "walk-ins", entities that would just come in and take over someone's life and begin to animate them, move them in different careers and so on. This same sort of thing may be the truth behind the so called alien's agenda.

There is good reference out there that if one is threatened with abduction or finds himself in "mid-abduction" that simply saying "Help me Jesus!" puts an end to that right then and there. But this idea of "containers" may be prophetic about world events and happenings also in the time of the Great Tribulation:

Re 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Could the much discussed "Mark of the Beast" have a spiritual component? One would think that this is only natural for the Devil to do!

In the theology of the Raelians. Everyone of us is really only a DNA experiment by an advanced civilization called the Elohim... Aside from the obvious blasphemy, its no big deal! If some crazy French race car driver wants to say that and raise a whole bunch of money, hey cool! But it gets insidious when these same entities that communicated their history to him say that Jesus was only one of their "better" experiments. We come back to the first verse I mentioned, that one of working in the children of disobedience. The goal here is to diminish the person of Christ. If we can make him less than divine, only a labe experiment performed by an advanced alien race, then there is no Christianity or salvation from sin to worry about. No wonder they seek to be cloned! You only get one pass through this world, then its oblivion.

A word of caution, if you try to use that "help me Jesus" idea and its not sincere from your heart you could be in for the fight of your life. Note the seven sons of Sceva:

Acts 19: 13 ¶ Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

They tried to use the name of Christ much like Van Helsing and crucifixes in Dracula. But Christ is not a rabbit's foot or even a magic charm to ward off demons. So the demon within simply said, "Jesus I know and Paul I know; but who are ye?" then jumped them and beat them black and blue.

This religious agenda is also brought out in the Sci Fi shows and movies. In the most recent season of Stargate the SG-1 team has to fight the "Ori", psychic preachers going from planet to planet sucking worship out of hapless souls. It sounded like a veiled attack on "origins" or creationists. You certainly got the idea that the writers were no fans of fundamentalist preachers. Arthur C. Clarke in "Childhood's End" has aliens landing that look very much like Pan, satyrs and of course the original "Satyr", the Devil. But they are only aliens and not spirits. The original Battlestar Galactica was only a veiled version of Mormon theology. It all makes you long for the good old days of horror movies when you got what you expected from aliens... (but then again you DO get what you expect if you know the real identity of our Cosmic Space Brothers!)

What in the world is going on with all these reports of aliens trying to reproduce hybrid children, stealing sperm and eggs from abductees, and mostly messing with what goes on in human bedrooms? Read on for a unique view of what the Bible infers about all this:

In Genesis 6 we read of a very strange phenomena, according to some interpreters, the "Sons of God", bnai elohim, intermarried with the "daughters of men" and produce "monsters" or giants in the earth. For this sin these particular angels were banished to dark dungeons and held with "chains of darkness" to await judgment at the end of the world:

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

This apparently was the cause of the great flood. God could not allow such monstrosities to remain in the world. But there is more to this than meets the eye. At first glance it would seem that God is just being careful or even capricious in destroying life. After all, flooding the whole world is a bit extreme! Lest you think it was just a local flood, look carefully at the wording:

Gen 6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

But what then was the reason for destroying this hybrid race? For that we go back to the 3rd chapter of Genesis and we begin to see what importance the "bloodline" would play in God's plan. Here is God talking to Satan in the form of the serpent:

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Apparently the bloodline of the woman Eve would be what eventually would bear the Savior, Christ. If it would somehow become polluted, that is begin to contain the mixed demonic/human genes, it could never bear the sins of common man.

So God had to wipe out mankind and imprison these angelic entities in chains of darkness. This prison is in fact the Great Abyss that is referred to in scripture. The legion of demons that possessed the Gadarene in Luke 8 were afraid of Jesus sending them to this same prison:

Lu 8:31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

and what of to the nature of this prison?

Ge 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

It apparently is a watery place, somewhere on (or in) the earth. The Devil himself will be consigned to the Abyss for 1000 years (Revelation 20) to be let loose one last time near the end of the Millennium.

But I have digressed too far from the original thesis of this post, what about all those experiments NOW? You should have gathered by now that I reject the "alien" hypothesis of the UFO pilots and in fact believe that they are malevolent spirits. If God has stopped this first alien reproductive push to allow the Savior to be born, why is all this happening in our age? Sort of pointless isn't it? But you have to pay attention to what the UFO entities are actually TEACHING. It came as a revelation to me that most abductees are given a "mission". That is there is some kind of "word" or thing that they must tell the world. It is religious in nature. Apparently the aliens ignore the separation of church and state clause! Their goal is exactly the same as it ever was, to somehow prohibit the Savior OR diminish his work and person.

The appearance of the "reptoids" or serpentlike aliens in many of the background stories of the abductions seems to also point to the ultimate source of these strange goings on, "That Old Serpent the Devil", Rev 12:9.

They have told contactees that Christ, Buddha, and all the great teachers of the ancient past were in fact experiments by them. So the appearance of the Christ was not "in the flesh" but a DNA experiment done by the aliens (how else could he feed 5000 so easily?) You might think that this is a GOOD thing, perhaps its really the next step in evolution. But it reveals the end times agenda of Satan and the Antichrist (WHOAA! you're really getting far afield here Marty!) Not at all, check the words of that great apostle of the Apocalypse, John:

2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an Antichrist.

If you can diminish the Christ to being less than God, and even less than man or non-human in some way you eliminate what work he could do on the cross in suffering for the rest of humankind.
